Air Flow into or outta the computer? This side of the computer will be very close to a wall is it even worth putting a fan there? My case is an Antec 900.

Have the fan be an intake for your case, air will still be sucked into the system, but not as optimal as it would normally if it had a decent amount of space in between the wall. Using it as an exhaust would cause problems though, the hot air would probably make not only your wall warm, but the outer side of the case. Some of that hot air will get trapped in your case and some will escape.

Is this fan for the Vid Card region or the CPU/NB region.

Not that it really matters, it should be an intake for both locations.

As long as the case isn't flush up against the wall you should be fine.

2 inches is okay.. side fans dont help overall case cooling that much but they do cool the things they directly blow on.. to be of any real use they need to blow directly onto something and blow in..

As for mosfet, NB, SB, cooling I have found that finding a good smaller fan that fits the passive cooler *if passive* and zip tying it or screwing it down if it is a finned heatsink (as long as you have enough fan jumpers) will drop temps drastically. FRY's electronics has piles of diff sized fans.

Personally i took the plastic out of the grid. Just left enough plastic to hold the mesh and the screws was left.

The air I get from front to back and up is all that is really needed. Not sure if having a fan there would do any good really .

If you keep the wires out of the way the airflow should be fine without it at all!

You say this while pumping liquid through your system like the rest of us nerds...
