One or two readers may have noticed the story about the PowerColor news site being hacked last week, and it looks like it's happened again. This time things seem much more sinister though - when you visit the news page from PowerColor's global site you are redirected to an image of the fire in Southern Germany last week on ImageShack (below) with a statement below in German which translates as "We will show whole Germany... for that must you pay... Fuck you Germany." It looks like this is the work of a group labelling themselves as CMD-TEAM, although why an American graphics card manufacturer is being targeted is beyond me. This is exactly the same page as was hacked last time, http://www.powercolor.com/Global/News.asp, although a very different message it would seem.

Its not "Dafur" its "dafür" - which means "for that"
However, it looks like more and more sites are getting hacked. First stage6 and now powercolor again. :(

Thanks for clearing that up - makes more sense now. I was hoping that the translation software would be smart enough to allow for things like that, evidently not. Computers are no match for humans when it comes to effective translation :)

You are welcome. The german isnt good either and the reason could be its written by Turkish people (or made so it looks like that). Now I notice my enlgish is bad too

Well, i'm german and the german used by the hackers is actually pretty bad. And I don't think it is targeted at powercolor.

Anyways...

Seems like the powercolor website is the new imageshack, rapidshare or myspace ;)

How neatly they've mentioned their email addresses, can't their IP be backtraced?

Hope PowerColor changes its hosting company. BTW, F*** you CMD-Team :nutkick:
