I just got my RMA back from the fried one i sent in yey. its a eVGA 6800GS Oc'd and i installed it yesterday everythign works great and all that good stuff but i went to watch a video and nothing would show up on WMP. I dont know much about WMP so i cant figure it out. Many people say go get a diff video player but i would like to get it to work for personal reasons :nutkick: anyhelp would be appreciated

When you load WMP for the first time you are asked what file formats you want it to support. I normally selct them all as it makes no diff to anything else.

To make sure they are added, open WMP then click options and then file types select all.

If this does not work then just make sure that WMP can see your CD Rom. Might need a driver, Unusual but i have seen it before.

divxplayer

divxplayer has some codecs in it for playing all the files such as .avi and dvd formats.

www.divx.com they have a free version

Do u guys honestly think im that big of a dumbass? It was not what file i was playing and it was not the first time i had to start WMP. I had simply bought a new videocard and then it wouldnt show up sound played and etc. Was not DivX or anything I figured out the problem on my pwn it was a DirectX 9.0c Issue i had to re install it and now it works fine. I'd like to thank you all for treating me like a 4yr old with no computer experience :banghead:

Well I am not sure any off us thought you were a Dumbass!! You asked for help and gave almost no information for any body to help you with!

In fact now seeing what the answer was we can all see that how you described the problem very badly written and the next time you want an answer to your question try giving all the relevant information!

This Forum is I thought, suited for all levels of skill so if we explain things in detail it is so it is clear for all readers to understand, not just you.
