when you pre-order aoc, you get 3 day early access to the game, mount, and a bag.
I already got a key a few days ago, but registration opens only on May 2.
This key is the key that you will use for your retail version of the game to register and play.

free servers suck though. you get t6 gear in a few seconds. supposed to take hundreds of hours.

acctualy http://www.toxic-wow.net/ has a LOW RATE server thats blizzard rates, a mid rate thats like 7x exp (not sure the rest of the rates) and high rate thats 14x exp, also toxic has a very good community, it will take you a few days of good playing to get to higher level, then at least a few weeks to get good gear, thats on high rate, on low rate, well its like blizzard LONG road to high levels.

not all privats are insta 70, infact toxic tryed it on 1 server, dumped it because IT SUCKED, boring being insta 70.

i been playing my shawman for 2 weeks at am aroun 30, preist same time fraim and its 26, lock i have played the longist its 70 and still dosnt got t6 after over a month of play.

so dont say u get stuff in a few seconds, and yes its more fun to beable to level up in a couple/few weeks then it is to spend months to get to the same point, to me thats boring, thats why i dont play the low rate server.

if you endup getting on toxic feel free to give me a holler, and also check out their IRC chat, alot of fun both in game and on the irc chanils

I played WOW for some time as well, until I hit lvl cap and it was the same thing over and over...

they have problems at times due to attacks, all the top 5 servers on xtreamtop100 list have that problem

i get 64-72ms, rarely500 when its being ddos'd but most of the time i would say 98% its in the 64-72 range

also the staff on toxic are the best out of the top 18servers i tryed

oh i never noticed bad latency with burning wow but im not on all that often anymore,

burning got dinged by wowscape with a ddos then a login server attack last week same as all the top servers, wowscape cant taken people being above them on the xtreamtop100 list, its childish.....

burning also has a far lower player count then toxic in my exp, weekends you seen 1500-2500 players per server on toxic, burning it wasnt even 1/2 that a month or so ago when i played them

oh well when i sign on right after class theres about 900ish people on, and i took a break from playing for the last 2 weeks so i did play during the attack but ill try out toxic again

burning was ok, not saying its bad, just that after playing a week on burning and a week or more on other servers i found toxic's community IN GAME to be better, also found their IRC to be alot of fun when u cant play or just wana bs insted of run around in game

yeah, everybodys at 2.4 burlex/buttsecks finnely let other servers have 2.4 support after he got back to #1 on the xtreamtop100 list using dirty tricks(photoshoped imaged showing toxic and others cheating)

then he attacked servers with a bug he didnt bother to patch for anybody but his server when he lost #1 again :/ childish, so sad hes the head dev of ascent (server emu wow servers run on)

I mean, where's my challenge? my friends who I play with have played for years, as a result they started a few weeks after me, and hit 70 long before I hit 40..

yeah, retail is to slow thats my feeling anyway, ur buddys dont want to start new chars with you because they already have lvl70's that they are playing and they dont wana drop back to lower chars because it would mean they miss out on high level raids.....

at least on toxic you can catchup and build chars in a couple weeks that allow you to play with your friends IF you choose the high or mid rate servers, if u do the quests you CAN be high level VERY fast, but u still got a challenge then, building ur chars gear up to a level where u can raid, then building it up to a level where u can raid BT

Burlex also runs WoWscape doesn't he? I've actually killed him in game on his character Burlex. Sometimes admins aren't too 'street smart'

WoWscape is probably the best. There's some issues, but their support is the most consistent. It's just a shame that the donation sets aren't specific or tailored enough, and their universal approach gives some classes way too much firepower or defense.

I have a full donor rogue on WoWscape, if anyone is interested in buying or trading for something :0)

29k health, 6000 some AP, 95+% dodge, 24k armor rating, Phoenix flying mount, Red Raptor ground mount and about 300k gold.

Now that I've probably plugged inapporpriatley...

I can't see WoW winning anymore awards, though I don't imagine it will die out anytime soon.

Let's hope AOC does the trick. Speaking of AOC, I'm weary about this early access thing. There's no restriction on how many people can pre-order, so we could have 95% of AOC enthusiasts pre-ordered, which means 95% of the community will be trying to get in for the early access. This kind of network and server convultion could potentially lead to three or more days of just trying to get into the game, rendering the early-access a bit pointless.

MMOs are the worst for launches.. and look how easily FPS shooters are thwarted by an influx of connections? COD4 is probably the most recent, and it took almost a week for things to start settling down.


I'm going to do it anyways, though I'm thinking the mount will be the pay off here, not the early access.

I am definatley curious how kids at school know you play. You can easily turn it around on them. If you're a nerd for playing, what are they for even knowing what WoW is?

What's amusing is when someone calls someone else a nerd for playing WoW or for doing whatever "nerdy" thing they are trying to make fun of, but the person pointing the finger plays Madden or fantasy football or other "nerdy" thing themselves. That aside, it's also better to be a nerd than to be a jackass.

Its not illegal if the server uses Mangos or Antrix.
