i spend way too much time at mine.. its at eye level.. very comfy.. the chair is a recliner.. i just got pissed off with desks and stuff.. the tall blue thing is just a mag lite torch no bongs.. i have become an electronic cigarette smoker (e-cig for short) tho.. it would be possible to put other substances in... he he

I think that set up is pretty sweet! You have enough room for everything and still good.. where as a normal desk you just have stuff everywhere around the keyboard and mouse. Nice look Trog!

its not new i have been using it for couple of years.. its as much to do with saving room space as anything else.. my PC is in my living room.. as regards occupied floor area or room space it works a treat.. its not perfect but nothing is.. he he..

i dont have to sit facing a wall.. i have tried desks but unless crammed in a corner staring at a wall they take up a lot of space if big enough to hold all the junk..

i set out to create a maximum floor space area while still having space for loads of PC junk.. if it didnt work i would alter it.. i did make it.. i dont get neck ache.. honest.. he he

at first there was huge crt monitor.. the current lcd is mounted an a swinging bracket that also extends out.. the center pole or post takes all the weight.. the weight has done down without the need to support a bloody great crt monitor.. my first idea was chromium tubes but a wooden post was easier to do not quite as pretty tho..

the shelves for the printer and stuff swing out.. over all there is one hell of a lot of "desk" space in a very small foot print..

its not that hard to make.. a piece of 4 x 2 and some mdf board cut into the semi circle shapes and dropped over the 4 x 2..

maglite "torches" are quite pricey in the UK.. they are the standard "legal" weapon for security dudes.. he he

ps... it nicely hides a million cables as well.. there is about 24 wall sockets in use.. he he.. there are cut outs in the back to allow cables to come up from the floor..

the light was just an after thought.. not really part of the original idea.. it clips on to things with bendy neck..

its a similar thing.. just a big croccy clip with a bendy neck.. the bendy bit can point straight up or be curved around to point down.. it takes those little screw in spotlight bulbs.. it came with a few others from the local "anything for a pound" shop i think..

bet they dont have "anything for a dollar" shops in the US..

We have to many of those stores! Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and one more... lol... Most for a dollar, and Dollar General gives you more higher priced things... but not a bad price
