Hey Merc,

Is that ABIT one of the old Oscar Woo (I believe that's his last name) boards? If so, youve got a great board there, is that the best OC or just where you run it? This is the guy that's making the UT series of DFI's now. He started out at ABIT i've heard.

BTW I'm giving you a ten to make up for the guy who gave you a two, what's he know?
Or I would give you a ten if I could figure out how, little help here! Ifound it, Duh!

Have no idea, never heard of Oscar Woo.
This is just where I run it to match Ultimate 478 MMC with speed (the user is a jealous type who has to have faster than!) Want to run it at 133fsb, but it won't even boot at that speed. The CPU is the one that came in the case with the Gigabyte mobo that is now in SE 478 MMC. See a pattern here?

What I wanted was an IS-7, but those aren't available anymore. This mobo was the closest thing to it I could find. It is an awsome mobo for Socket 478! Trying to do some research on Oscar Woo and the IS-7 series mobo's with no luck! If this guy did design the IS-7, he probably didn't do this one as it was the last one, and it has some changes that don't follow the pattern that the other IS-7's go along. Maybe some more attempts at researching this will bring up some info.

Sorry guys, I got the spelling wrong, it's Oskar Wu. The story I heard at DFI St. is he worked at ABIT and was the reason for their solid overclocking boards. Then he moved on to DFI and has been behind their recent success in the overclocking scene. Motherboard designer and BIOS writer.

The IS-7 is an awsome board, this IS-7 E2 seems to be a cheap knock off. The bios settings are all off by a bit, or don't do anything. He (Wu) probably left while or before the IS-7 E2 and that may explain why it works, but not very well (when compared to the IS-7).
