the problem is i cant risk it because the new cards if something goes wrong can not be fixed.if you flash a wrong bios then you cant flash it with the original bios because your pc cant boot there is no way to flash it even if you have a pci card the pc wont boot whith these new cards

dont u get any restarts or freezing due to overclock?

no i am not geting restarts the card works perfect. i think the problem is the old motherboard not the overclock.the card to new motherboars is at 65 c. with overclocking i get 2c more. so to a new motherboard i can overclockit more because the temp is too low

i think those restarts were due to my overclocked E4500. what can i do to make the overclock stable? when i tried to stress test the cpu with prime95 my computer restarts after 2 minutes. is it because of the overheating or the lack of voltage????

dont overclockit :D you dont need to overclock this cpu i think is enaugh for you.or try to do stable overclocking.is not the overheating. if you overclock the cpu you also overclock the pci express bus try do reduse the clock of your cpu

my current clocks are 801mhz core, 1920mhz shader and 1070mhz memory. i could manage to reach 51.4 GB/s memory bandwidth, 9.6 GPixels pixel fillrate and 33.6 GTexels Texture fillrate. so far its stable. pretty good eh?

i guess im lucky i bought Gigabyte version. because it came with an aftermarket zalman cooler. otherwise it would get too hot i would not be able to overclock it that much.

I tried it on my 384MB GS but unlocking any GS or GSO to GTS is not possible unless it has 8 memory chips on the front and/or back, if it dosen't meet that its impossible.

I tried editing the bios of my GS using a GTS 512 bios and the result was this, it increased the texture fill rate by 5G/Texels.

I don't have the GS anymore though.

when you flash a 8800GTS bios to a 8800GS or 9600GSO thats what happens, but the bios's have to modified or they glitch, at that overclock i was getting around 9800GTX performance from that card, then i sold it, and bought the new crappy 9600GSO, and sold that and bought an 8800GT.

It was volt modded though

I will tell you one thing, I have never seen a 9600GSO like that, NEVER

based on that cards texture fill rate your card only has 28tmu's and 56 sp's which is just wierd as hell

if you have everest can you confirm the texture fill rate because something is really wrong

nice review BTW
