calling all memory gurus

tell me everything you can about this memoy, such as max voltage, how high it is expected to clock, etc:
I can tell you that it was pulled from a Dell, and dispite that the SPD tab may say, it comes running at 6-6-6-18, not 5-6-6-18

Don't really know what kind of chips it uses. Can you take a picture of one of the RAM chips?

@erocker, they are hynix chips in use here, and hat, make sure its at 1.8v when you're trying 5-6-6-18

pfft it went straight to 5-5-5-15 as soon as I put it in
when I saw that they booted into Windows at 4-4-4-12-16-1T at the default 1.85v my motherboard detected (doesn't detect 1.8v ram as 1.8v for some reason, it likes to give it 1.85v), I knew I had some potential. Wasn't stable there of coruse, but I am stable at 817 4-4-4-12-16-1T with 2v. My old Crucial DDR2 533 4-4-4-12-17-1T couldn't do 817 at 5-5-5-15-20-1T with 2.2v

thats really good! just make sure you have some active cooling on those things if they dont have some heatsinks on

99% of heatsinks do more to hold the heat on the chips than get rid of it...

I'd rather push cheaper Ram with no heatsinks than with heatsinks.

I run 2.3v, but I use a fan, they get ridiculously hot otherwise. 2v or 2.1v I wouldn't use a fan, but depending on the chips, 2.2v and above I'd definately use some form of active cooling.

What is that last number you have thrown in there, the "16"? You should be able to get over 1000mhz no problem with these sticks!
