Its not a huge problem but it gets knid of annoying. At the windows login welcome screen, I am the only user. It used to be that it would select it for me, so I could type in my password without clicking on my name, now I have to click on my name and then type in my password and so on. I checked (when you type in control userpasswords2 in run) and there are no other user accounts, no hidden ones (Net Framework does this). How can I change it so it selects my name automatically?

Control panel- User Accounts- Change the way users log on or off- Uncheck "use welcome screen". Some virus scanners (like mine) think that going into these settings counts is a suspicious script, it really isn't :p.

Are you sure there isn't a user account called asp.net? Also try downloading TweakUI from the MS powertoys site, I think there is an option to automatically log in on that.

Sorry about that... haven't actually had to mess about with user accounts on it myself because I've never had too many problems with them. I'll keep that in mind though!

That's OK. I'm glad I was able to get into safe mode, if I had to logon to get in thier it would never had happen. It is locked up tight with out logging in. I think the only way out would be to re-format.
