3200+ Manchester overclocking

Well i've overclocked my CPU to the point where i dont know if its got any more mhz in it. I have a 3200+ Manchester, yes i said manchester core that is at 2.65Ghz right now stable ata very scary 1.58v. How can i get more out of her? I have fsb to 265, multiplier at 10x and htt is at 4x, while memory is at ddr442. Should i lower the htt to three? well that what i was told to try and it worked for me...drop to 3 and see how that works.

New "Venice" CPUs are nothing else but X2 cpus with one core disabled. Another core doesn't pass tests AMD validates for them so they will disable second core and make it 3200+ "Venice".

they are X2 Machester cores with one of the core disabled, it's not a new venice.
imo its wrong to call it a venice core,might as well call the winchester venice

you can try searching for method to unlock the extra core
chances are the core is defective. (just like my last quad with the NV40)
i dont believe they would let go of a good dual core cpu.

Think you will get more but you need more volts, I have a similar, well identicle problem with my Venice 3200......see specs, I can boot to 2720 but not prime stable, I have had to Voltmod my board and I am still maxed at 1.55V, my cooling is good so I am upgrading my M/B to a more overclockable one (1.75V VCore) and I am just gonna turn volts and FSB up until I hit 45C at idle, prime her at load and see how she does.

I've seen someone get a fully functional X2 out of one of these, I have no clue how he unlocked it though, probably just luck.

Actually, no, I think he put in a regular CPU, then his dual core, and it somehow recognized it as a 3800+ x2.

Let me see if I can find some info.

Hey i'm using these settings:269fsb,3xhtt,memory is at 180mhz, and 1.57v core which cpu-z reads 1.6v ouch! I am idling AT 45C YIKES! I Got to 2.7 but systool locked upon stability test and got a error.

you need better cooling, looks from your specs you just have a stock cooler, Volts upto 1.7 dont really matter if you can keep the lady cool, if she is cool......she can't fry! anything over 1.7V is VERY risky however and some say the safe max is 1.6V I am going to get 2800 outta this if it kills me (or the cpu). Max temps for a Venice is anything from 49C - 65C.

You have to have a manchester 3200+ or 3500+, this type of thing doesnt happen on single core venices.

The Manchester 3200+ is really an X2 3800+ with one core disabled.

There will prolly be some program you can run in the bios to override the cpu bios.Yes i have the stock cooling, but its gonna have to do for now, until i someone lends me a x2 3800 LOL!!!!

A CPU doesn't have a BIOS.
