My brother just grabbed it so he can play it on my PS3. It's not bad on the console. Couple bugs, but nothing like what was stated here so far in the PC version.

Why would any game come out with no widescreen option for PC?
I liked Mercinaries when I played PS2 and sounds like the only way I will be able to enjoy playing Mercinaries 2 is on a console aswell.

Sounds like it's another poorly optimized console port like DiRT.
I'll bet they will release a patch which does nothing for it.

BTW, 1680 * 1050 is not detected.

In my system i can only choose between 1280 * 720 or 1920 * 1080...

It runs perfect on my 360 :roll:

For me it runs fine as long as i turn off the water. Doesnt make sense, the water doesnt look THAT nice when its on

I wonder how many People will try to Compare the XB360 Version on a 1080P TV to the PC version maxed out on a equal Screen, in SP and MP and see if there really is any difference in detail level, and Frames, because if its taking a PC like yours to run it fine and yet the XB360 is doing the same thing but with weaker hardware then its showing the game is poorly optimized for PC.

Im sure he has the water disabled, there is no doubt that there is a memory leak when you turn it on, the performance change is just too great, its like:

Water off = 70fps
Water on = 10fps

Even if there is no water around LOL

overall the game is poorly coded, its just a hashed port of a console game
so many bugs and leaks, if it was GTA 4 with the mercenaries ideas it would be good but its not

Well, the console versions only go up to 720p res, so I imagine it would look better on PC at 1080p.

no i have "everything" on max including the water on.

my average fps is around 50ish ,if i drop to 4x AA i can hold around 60fps with np's.

I have it and play it until now and it run smooth and easy all maxed all effects on including water effect ...... pretty fun ..... graphic is not always the first thing in term of games .... we didn't have such type of games since long time......

I just got the PC version. Was having fun on the PS3, but I can't stand playing with a controller.

No problems so far. Playing maxed out at 1920x1080 at 40-50fps with motion blur on. It's right on the borderline of playability, but good enough for now.
