Hi, ive got afew questions:

1) My DVD-Drive isnt been detected in Vista. Its on and its connected. BIOS detects it on load, but it doesnt show in MyComputer or load discs. Any ideas why?

2) Is there a way to get TV on my monitor (1x VGA 2x DVI)? or would i have to use a tv-tuner?

3) Im running Vista but was wondering about installing XP too. If i did, would i have to re-install all programs for the XP side, or would it use the ones already on the Hard-Drive from Vista?

4) Can anyone link me to a trust worth, well explained CPU Lapping tutorial?

Thanks in advance.

1) try using a different SATA port.
2)Not that I know of
3)Yes, you would have to install all software in XP.
4) Just use the search tool here. I've seen several threads on proper lapping.

1) Go into your device manager and see if it is recognized their, if not check your disk manager.
2) A TV tuner is your best option
3) If you install Vista and XP on two smaller partitions and had a free shared partition, then for the most part Vista and XP could read/access the programs and files on the shared partition. However with that said, it would seem that you already have Vista installed which usually indicates a single large partition which would mean your HDD would need to be reformatted/partitioned in order to install XP and therefore all of your installed software would need to be reinstalled. Also, you need separate drivers for XP and Vista (usually), so they are installed in each OS.

oh wow. If this makes sense... I shut down and swapped my two SATAs round (1 to 2, 2 to 1) and it shows up in MyComputer.

Thanks for the replies people.
