Hi
I am having problem with the videocard. I bought Assassins Creed and when I try to run it hangs on the screen right after ubiSoft logo disapears. The card is right out of the box. I read about fanfix and set up profile with 100 percent fan spin. Then the game gets past the welcome screen.
It is not the only problem. It was the same when I tried to run Witcher. Same thing helped here but with fanfix about 50 percent. Most annoying is the problem with Crysis. At some point the game freezes and the system hang the same as in other case. The funny thing here is taht I can get through the whole space ship level without hangs and when I am in a shack in the wood it freezes. It is that I power up the system and I load that specific moment and it hangs.
I have Antec 900 and I put a fan on the side that blows air directly on the card. Its all in WinXp Pro 32bit.
Any help much appreacieated.

Install Coretemp & GPU-Z... then check your idle and load temps for both the CPU & GPU.

with these types of hangs its either due to lack of power (which is not the case with your corsair 750W) or increased temperatures. also, is your system overclocked?... have you got your ram voltages set on auto in the bios or have you manually set them to the correct required voltage...

I did that with temperatures. SmartGuardian shows about 37 degrees C. RealTemp about 30 C on CPU. Without fanfix GPU showed about 75. When there was hot weather it wass 85. With fanfix on 30 percent fan spin its 60.
No the system is not overclocked. Ill try setting different voltage on ram.

Im not sure it will be a ram issue though as if the ram was at the incorrect voltages it would most likely bluescreen rather than hang.

It does sound like a power issue to me... but that corsair 750 is way more than enough juice.
Perhaps you are overloading one of the 12v rails of that psu... check that everything using the 12v rails are spread over the various rails... rather than have everything run off one of the 12v rails... give the gfx card its own rail

I set the voltages on RAM right and it helped. I cant set voltages on RAM to Auto in Genie BIOS settings. It was 1,5V now its 1,8V but I am running different modules. OCZ Platinum 1333MHz CL7.
Thanks.
