Which "PSU" Should I Choose?
I am thinking of buying one of these PSUs. Please help me choose. My system has Crossfire configuration with 2 X "HD4870X2" and an overclocked cpu (Phenom II x4 955@4.0GHz).
Which one of these should I prefer ? (ignore the prices) 1 | Cooler Master Real Power M850 2 | Cooler Master Silent Pro M 850 3 | Corsair 750HX 4 | Corsair 850HX Thanks in advance. :) |
HX850 from the corsair..
you wont regret it. |

+1 to HX 850, the 4870X2 CF can potentially eat 600w, leaving you with enough juice for the rest of your components.
|
Go with a Corsair or SeaSonic PSU, you won't regret it!
|
another option is from Enermax, the Revo 85+ 850W also good.
|
Whats your current PSU and why do you need/want to upgrade?
|
I'm a big fan of Corsair's HX range, been using them since the 520's release however, if you're budget can allow it - I'd recommend the AX750W.

Also whats your budget and where are you buying from as you have only listed 4 possible contenders. |

It's not OEM, but it's not a remarkable PSU either. :o I've narrowed the options to four not because I'm not able to find another ones but because I've heard of these ones most of the time. But if you have other suggestions, I'll think about them. |

If you're low on cash you might want to look into Chieftech, Scythe (the Kamariki 4 550W retails for under €50 here) or the like. Avoid the cheapest ones though.

Well if you have the budget I would have to agree the hx 850 is the best option out of those listed and should last you a long time. :toast:
I dont find chieftec to be that cheap personally, my last 650w from them was £70 iir |

I'D go with the Corsair HX850. Just can't go wrong with it :toast:
|
I have a Corsair 850TX PSU and it's awesome.:rockout: Go for it.

People rarely regret buying Corsair power supplies. I guess the Corsair 850HX is a pretty good choice and it is modular. Good luck!
