Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z struggles to boot

So I'm using a Single Stage phase cooling unit and giving my 2600k (overclocked to 5.6ghz) quite a bit of voltage (5.30 with 100% LLC) and when I power up the system most of the time it tries to start, fans spin up, and then after about 10 seconds it shuts down and restarts itself, and it does this over and over and eventually it starts up just fine and boots totally stable into windows and is even prime stable. Sometimes I'm lucky and it starts flawlessly on the first cycle but other times it has to turn itself on and off 4 or 5 times before booting which is very annoying and frustrating. I'm clueless on whats going on.

This is the thread discussing the project:

are you still using a single GTX465?

yeah, why?

Also it should be noted that if I clear the bios and go back to stock clocks/volts the problem goes away.

because it seems the 3-4 attempts to boot may be connected to multi GPU systems, just wondered if you may have added another card, only thing that may be an issue is your 850W PSU "possibly" a power delivery problem

Ah, got my answer. Turns out Z68 and P67 mobos tend to boot-loop like this when your BCLK changes much from 100.
