HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

HyperSLI 0.96

System requirements(Hardware mode):
Intel processor with Virtualization Technology (VT-x) or AMD processor with Secure Virtual Machine (SVM)

Software mode doesn't require a processor with special hardware features
If your processor doesn't support Virtualization Technology then you can use Software mode
If no hypervisor modes used then HyperSLI will work in Legacy Mode, which means compatibility with SLIPatch 1.5.
Hardware mode has advantage over Software mode

BE AWARE. HyperSLI hides Virtualization Technology supporting. For example, CPU-Z utility never show VT-x for Intel processors and AMD-V for AMD processors under HyperSLI. This will be fixed in further versions.

Installation/updating(before HyperSLI 0.8):
1)To install HyperSLI just push install button and do reboot.
2)To update HyperSLI(update SLIPatch to HyperSLI) you just need to push update button and do reboot.
3)You should have Virtualization Technology enabled in BIOS, otherwise HyperSLI would work in Legacy Mode
4)Before installing/updating make sure you have UAC disabled and you logged as administrator.
5)No matter in which order you will install Drivers and HyperSLI.

Installation/updating(HyperSLI 0.8 or higher):
1)To install HyperSLI just push install button and do reboot.
2)To update HyperSLI(update SLIPatch to HyperSLI) you just need to push update button and do reboot.
3)Boot under HyperSLI boot option and continue installation
4)Reboot the system
5)You should have Virtualization Technology enabled in BIOS, otherwise HyperSLI would work in Software mode
6)Before installing/updating make sure you have UAC disabled and you logged as administrator.
7)No matter in which order you will install Drivers and HyperSLI.

Planned updates:
1) Virtual Machines (for example WinXP mode) supporting under HyperSLI

Obsolete:
Latest SLIPatch(not supported any more): http://anatolymik.itzod.ru/SLIPatch_v1.5_beta.exe
Modded drivers: http://anatolymik.itzod.ru/Modded%20Drivers/

I need to know: what info do you need in first message?

baker99 Oct 4, 2011 07:03 AM

:) for first post, does UAC need to be off? Should we uninstall slipatch then reboot before Hypersli?

baker99 Oct 4, 2011 07:19 AM

Thanks, seemed to install fine, just updating to the latest nvidia drivers

johnspack Oct 4, 2011 07:37 AM

Should probably mention that on intel systems that support it, you should leave "Intel Virualization Tech" enabled in the bios for this.

Working fine on 285.38 drivers with Gigabyte X38-DQ6, 2 x GTX 260's and Q6600 CPU.

Did have to set coolbits to 1F as my cards have different amounts of memory.

Good job, 2xGTX560Ti, 285.38 driver.

Hi, I'm getting Bluescreens after the installation of HyperSLI,:cry:
The System stucks at the bootscreen and gets the BSOD. I've tried everything...deinstalled the VGA Drivers etc...Vanderpool technology is turned on in the BIOS...
Slipatch together with the modded drivers worked flawlessly, plz help

tinytiger Oct 4, 2011 09:49 AM

Why my Q9550 can't support Virtualization Technology? I enabled Vanderpool technology in BIOS.

Hi I have a question regarding virtualization on amd platform (when will be available on x64)
In the bios you enable it with the IOMMU?
(Hypersli installed but cpu not supported)

HyperSLI doesnt use VT-d

federicoz45 Oct 4, 2011 12:36 PM

???

Buschti Oct 4, 2011 12:41 PM

I think what anatolymik wants to say is, that HyperSLI is only able to utilizes th VT-x virtualization technology and not VT-d. And afaik only Intel supports VT-x.
