I can get the sli enable now but strange thing happends:eek::
with single vga @ 3dmark03 i get around 43000 points
with sli enabled(without sli bridge) i get half score@3dmark03 like 23000 points:)
sli enabled and sli bridge on i get less than 23000:)
I seen on gpuz that both vga worked @pciexp 4x 1.1.....can be bandwith saturation?

Check the gpu utilisation in both cards when ruining 3dmark06 with msi afterburner OSD or EVGA Precision.

SaZ Jan 3, 2012 10:23 AM

Ok ill try...but i seen with 2 gpuz:
with sli first gpu load 100% second gpu load 3%(tryed quick benchmark)
without sli first gpu load 90% (tryed quick benchmark)

here u can see the differences : 1gpu(without sli)--> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/1gpu.png/
with sli---> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/408/2gpu.png/

Any suggestion?

I had updated the BIOS after removing the 2nd GFX, it did not help to resolve
the shut-down problem. I will give the 2nd GFX another try later this week.

Finally got the 2nd GFX working. I guess BIOS update does help. After BIOS update, reset
the BIOS time and clean installing the NVIDIA driver, the two GFX work happily together.

HyperSli is next, getting a EVGA SLI bridge from my friend. Stay tune. :rockout:

Just a side note, I got a dual-boot system (XP and WIN7) and the ancient XP did not like
the two GFX sitting together and gave me BSOD while finding the new GFXs. (I think it is the
HD sound devices on the GTX460 have conflicts with on-board HD sound but not sure. BSOD message is in some alien language)

My workaround was to boot XP in Safe-Mode, let XP find default drivers then reboot back
to normal and install the driver from NVIDIA. Now in the NVIDIA control panel under XP, one
GFX is main and the other dedicated for PhyX. No HyperSLi for XP so I guess I will have to
live with it.....

Hi, I just try HyperSLI first time on my Asus P5KC.
It almost works but when I run any game with SLI, screen flashing rapidly. I think that problem is in my processor and no compatible with VT (I have early E7400). Do You think in that is problem? Can I made something else to solve this flashing?

I saw planned updates of HyperSLI. There is software Hypervisior. When this will be included to program then this helps me?

Hello eveyone :)

First post in these forums, and it's to congratulate anatolymik. :toast:
You're doing a great job mate, keep it up.

I've just tried 0.7 on my CIVF and works rather good with two of those old buggers, a lot of games scale pretty well too.

No update will fix this, it is more then likely due to SLI on CF only board. Some games I can ALT+TAB and others I cannot, so I do not.

I found out that... alt+ tab BSOD only occur with dx11 games. (checked batman akam city, crysis2, BF3)

guess... there is some crash with dx11, not sure about x48, x38 coz i have only p45.

Hi

I have been running hypersli for quite some time now but on occasion i get BSOD's. Here is the bluescreen view of the error which refers to hallsli.dll. Just wondering if this would have something to do with the patch. Let me know if you need more details. MOBO is a CHVI extreme

Dear anatolymik and forum members,

My apologies if this isn't the right thread instance to ask for help regarding the use of this tool. I am the administrator of bios-mods.com and am representing the Alienware community. Recently I was asked to help M17x-R2 users enable their 580M video cards for SLI in their laptops. After trying to patch with SLIString + HALMod 0.9 and modded driver, SLIPatch 1.5, and HyperSLI 0.7beta, none of these solutions have enabled SLI in the NVIDIA control panel.

After trying many additional driver revisions etc, I am currently running version 285.38 on the machine I ran these tests on. As these cards run natively in SLI in the m18x with dell drivers, we though maybe the m18x dell drivers would make it work but to no avail.

Additionally, whenever we remove all NVIDIA drivers and simply install from scratch the latest WHQL NVIDIA drivers, the setup always says that it cannot detect any compatible graphics hardware. Using laptopvideo2go drivers or simply modifying the INF with the exact PC_DEV ID lets everything run fine. While everything runs fine, the driver always shows up as not being digitally signed no matter what method of instillation is tried (even trying to sign it after the fact in test mode).

Both myself and the community would appreciate any advice regarding setting up SLI. This has been a six month project that we still have not had success with, and it would seem you all are very knowledgable on getting it to run.

Current configuration:

All mods/patches removed except for SLIString (ASUS) 1.81, HALMOD 0.9, NVIDIA drivers 285.38.

Thank You for your help,
Chris

TheWizBM can you post screens of what you did?

Please note that the unisgned driver issue happens no matter what driver I use, NVIDIA, OEM, or modded. Is this part of the issue?

Card Hardware ID:

Thanks for your help,

TheWizBM did you backup hal.dll file? We need:
1) Restore original hal.dll
2) Remove slistring (reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\ACPI\Parameters. there must be DSDT subkey. you should to remove it and restart the system. if you cant see the DSDT subkey. make a screen of the key and post it)
3) Use only latest HyperSLI

Also we'll need to do some research. And tell in detail about your system.

TheWizBM Jan 8, 2012 03:35 PM

Hi Anatolymik,

I have just followed these instructions and removed everything but HyperSLI. Here is the specification sheet for the system in question:

Model: Dell Alienware M17x-R2
CPU:Intel i7 940 Quad Core
Chipset: PM55 Mobile Chipset.
Video Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 580M
Operating System: Windows 7 64bit SP1

What other info can I provide for you?

Warm Regards,
TheWiz

anatolymik Jan 8, 2012 03:40 PM

TheWizBM, first
1) remove HyperSLI
2) reboot
3) install HyperSLI
4) reboot

TheWizBM Jan 8, 2012 03:44 PM

Alright I have just removed all previous modifications and have installed HyperSLI and rebooted.

Do you need a screenshot of the HyperSLI box?

Hi,
first of all, thanks for your awesome work!

But I'm not able to install the patch.
This is the message I get:
http://www.abload.de/img/slioa2s3.jpg

Could the issue be, that I'm using a GPT formatted disk with a hybrid MBR solution?

Regards Matze
