Yeah, M'aiq wanders randomly, first encounter him near Whiterun, then near Markarth...

digibucc Nov 29, 2011 12:19 AM

me too, he was hanging out with some dude looking for ingredients for "the gourmet" the second time.

ViperXTR Nov 29, 2011 12:23 AM

ive seen some M'aiq quotes scattered in the net but i prefer to hear it ingame myself hehe.

Speaking about teh gourmet...

Spoiler

edit:
I wonder if there are plans for Martigen's Monster Mod? >_>
It was something that made Oblivion more fun imo. (perhaps the release of construction set could make it possible?)

Let there be larger Giants! (Fallout 3 had this SuperMutant Gargantuan which can decimate entire bandit force lol). Much stronger dragons with different abilities and AI behavior.

Don't have the 6990 yet, still 4290 integrated, and I vastly prefer retail over a random CD key (YMMV). Just figured I'd have the specs completed instead of updating them.
Not been using cheats to add cheese to my inventory but gave my character 20 million septims. More for buying things from shops I don't need same for selling. Does boost the speech and bartering skill slightly. No I haven't used tgm at all, but I do constantly on Morrowind and Oblivion.

Have the subtitles on, force of habit due to my movie collection, the Draugr seem to be using Thu'um and speaking in another language. Random observation. I'll post some 800x600 screenshots of my stash of things sometime.

EDIT: I too would enjoy seeing more creatures/etc. but I haven't even fully explored the map yet! Level 35/36 though.

Widjaja Nov 29, 2011 01:04 AM

20million septims?
And I thought a friends 1.5million septums was a lot.
Although I do not know if he is using cheats or not as he is on XBOX360.

Yes there are certain Dragur which use a Thum.
Didn't take long for me to rarely be affected by it though, although not sure why.

I'm up to level 55 now and used barely any of the Dragon souls I have collected.
I just find most of the shouts to be not all that effective. :/

Personally the best one is the first one you get once maxxed out.

ViperXTR Nov 29, 2011 01:14 AM

wtf 20M, i only have around 10K Coins now '__'
Unrelenting force is mostly the one im using, others are barely used lol.

randomly using it on towns for stress relief from time to time :)

Maelstrom Nov 29, 2011 01:36 AM

Not sure if this is completely worth the spoiler tags, but I'm using them just in case .

As for shouts, I find Ice Form really useful.

Why is Jarl Igmund and Faleen in Solitude? Specifically, inside the Blue Palace?

They're hostile to me. But then again the Blue Palace is teeming with guards that attack those two...LOL

Spoiler
.

I remember this happening to me early on in the game.
Saw this guy sprinting down the road wondering what he was up to.
Next thing you know he's in my face spinning about with knifes flailing like a whirling dervish.
So my travel companion pulled out her staffs of fireballs and burned him to death.

Then I took his gold.....and the note.

Mussels Nov 29, 2011 02:47 AM

meh dosent matter

Bethesda fully endorses the 4gb Skyrim mod.

that 4gb mod

breaks Ambient Occlusion override for Nvidia users

it breaks any and all GPU driver optimizations made by AMD for single or dual gpu systems aka crossfire dosent work,

it breaks Radeon Pro's ability to Force crossfire profiles, because you cant rename the exe launched by the 4gb mod, to take advantage of profiles.

All in all bethesda most likely wont fix this, and were all pretty much shit out of luck. go figure only way to get everything working properly is to acquire the game elsewhere. and then rename those exe's which from what i understand still works for now

Why not use 1.1exe and Ford patcher for now. Just seems to be the best option out there.

xenocide Nov 29, 2011 04:25 AM

I love this game, but it runs like a completely bucket of shit...

Not very well optimised including random stuttering/jumping of framerates.

EDIT: I've also had a few messengers or some such giving me random bounties or quests for things. Luckily it happens more in towns and cities.

yami2ki Nov 29, 2011 04:37 AM

I like how in the patch notes they posted, they don't mention anything about fixing the bugged quests, texture problems, and numerous other glitches/bugs that break the game... Just "rare" and "occasional" glitches... WTF Bethesda, do you even read the feedback you get? :banghead:

ViperXTR Nov 29, 2011 04:42 AM

I used to b*tch about those things, then I took an arrow to the knee.

and now your brothers out there hunting dragons, while you're stuck on guard duty in 300 places simultaneously?

lol I had that dialogue even though the guard was standing next to a slaughtered dragon in town.

i had a dragon land on a bridge, everyone in town walked either side of it to watch it.

hit it with magelight and made it fly off into the river, and everyone walked down into the lake and started treading water after it >.>

ViperXTR Nov 29, 2011 05:00 AM

Dialogue can happen at the most inappropriate times.
Like when just leaving a cave with a travel companion, then they say "Oh look a cave!"
"I wonder what's in there?"

ViperXTR Nov 29, 2011 05:30 AM

For anyone who went through the DB quest
