Looking for a fantasy city builder type game, does it exist?
 

I used to spend hours in the original Stronghold game building my dream medieval castle/village, was wondering if there is something at all similar for a fantasy type world? I would like to re-create some of the cities from The Wheel of Time, like Tar Valon and the White Tower, etc. Any game out there like this? I can't find it... probably out of luck, but thought I would try here before I give up my search. :toast:

I thought only had Modern type buildings to pick from? I want a pure fantasy type thing. Say I want a bridge to look like it's made of glass, etc.

Again can you please be more specific? Does it have something I can pick other than modern looking buildings, etc? Like a glass bridge, or a building that looks from a fantasy world?

I don't think they're reading you correctly when it comes to "fantasy".

Unfortunately, I don't think such a games exists.

Not exactly what you're after, but have you looked at Caesar, pharaoh and emperor rise of the middle kingdom?

The problem with all these games is that they don't offer any mode for just chillout building without limits. They all want some complex economic stuff with money and all. I sometimes also just want to build stuff without any limits and make something really beautiful.

SimCity is good in this regard but you can really only do it using cheats since there is no official free build mode.

The best game for doing that imo is Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. You can generate maps with a lot of other cities on (for trading), set violence to zero and get going. Not unlimited funds, but money is usually not a problem in that game.
