AMD A10-5800K Graphics Scores P10000+ in 3DMark Vantage

HWBot.org Test lab put the A10-5800K APU through its paces by overclocking its CPU component to 5.242 GHz (124.8 MHz x42 @1.644V), and its Radeon HD 7660D GPU component to 1.58 GHz (up from 1.275 GHz), to yield a 3DMark Vantage score of P10002 (performance preset), a level of performance unheard of for integrated graphics. The feat was made possible by picking the best of three A10-5800K chips cooled by Der8auer Fusion rev3 CPU pot, a Gigabyte FM2A85X-UP4 motherboard, G.SKILL RipjawsZ F3-19200CL9Q-16GBZMD 2x 4 GB memory, Corsair AX1200i PSU, and Windows 7 OS. Why is there a 4870 there?

Is that what they are saying it roughly equals to?

Nice! And nice oc as well.

No mention of the wonderful individual who hunted this down.

LOL, it is NOT getting that score with the on die 7660D alone. Stock score is about P1400. All he could get with dry ice was 5.2Ghz? water gets close to 5GHz.

We're talking about Vantage here, and evidently it does. Look at the GPU-Z screenshot. No other GPU.

~P1400 in 3DMark11. I got 1600 with mine with 1866 MHz AMD ram.

The 10000 points is in 3DMark Vantage.

This is 3DMark, cpu speed is not very important it's more the GPU speed that is...

Same GPU overclock but different CPU overclock on 3DMark11. Already 2 times more than 1400.

Good thing you read the actual article. This thing scored P10K. I know you didn't read the article because they used LN2 first of all. Second of all the guy who ran it mentions this

So, in order not to trigger the shutdown I kept the CPU at relatively low voltage and frequency. Besides, the effect of CPU frequency is almost insignificant anyway. 1GHz additional CPU frequency equals a total of 11pts boost in 3DMark11.

Good job Mr. Cocky Reviewer Guy.

nifty I guess, but I always take LN2 OC's with a grain of salt as their usually suicide runs, now if this score was on a sustainable OC, I would be much more interested.

How much can you overclock with just air no water? I'm looking for actual stable numbers not hypotheticals. Anyone

PLus has their been a comparison of which board overclocks the best
