Computer will not post when graphic card installed (O_o)
Hi all :)
My Computer will not post when I installed EVGA 9400GT 1GB in the PCI-E slot the problem start when I change GPU thermal. So when I run computer "windows welcome screen" freezing with blue color, then System failed. I was tried to fix it but I give up. There is no physical damage. Anyone can diagnosis this problem ? is that capacitor problem ? I can upload photo for the card There is no physical damage : have look at photo photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4 photo 5 Thanks in Adv :respect: |
To assist with others, this is the motherboard http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/pega...cs-3272011h24/
I see the motherboard has an onboard vga. Try to boot with the gfx uninstalled using the onboard video. That will at least rule out any other possible issues (unless it is related to the power supply). EDIT: I see in your system specs you have an ATI card. I assume you are removing that when you plug in the Nvidia 9400 card? |
Yeah at this time I installed HD4670 every thing works fine even onboard video card works great. but when I installed 9400GT Computer will not post. I was try it with Antec EA-750 Green.

Yes, this problem happen when I put some thermal ***** Fake Thermal :shadedshu ***** So I replace it again to Arctic Silver 5 but I can't make it work. |
did you remove the drivers first before you removed the 4670 physically?
Run Mem test on the ram, check the caps on the motherboard. Even Clear CMOS might help. Even reseating the card too http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...0-0ce9b12f99a8 |
Make sure that the heatsink is making contact with the memory using thermal pads. You don't want to use conductive thermal pastes (such as Arctic Silver 5) on memory chips as you run the risk of bridging the chips and shorting them out. Generally you need thermal pads though to make up the space difference between the heatsink and memory chips.

Use an eraser to clean the contacts on both sides of the GPU, Make sure to "Seat" the card good! |

try to boot using onboard graphic card first then reboot and set it into your current card
then turn off and plug in your card from the card it looks OK but you need to make sure that the card working perfectly, you may test it on other pc first |
