What VLAN settings to use in VirtualBox
Looking at setting up VirtualBox and what I want to do is give the virtual OS a completely different IP address than the host/router, is there anyway to do this? I tried free proxy's but they suck as they can't deal with certain scripts and java etc correctly.

Sounds like you might need to route through and provide IPs from software in another VM such as Linux (not easy if no experience) then set up the other VM behind that.
Also, another virtualizing solution may be the way to go for more customized scenarios such as this (though I have yet to play with VB myself). |
