NZXT Sentry Mesh Review
 

Just bought a Sentry Mesh fan controller, took a chance on a $25 device with the potential to go up in flames and take my whole system with it. Lots of positive reviews and NZXT's solid reputation swayed me to forget those fancy aluminum $60-70 controllers and go with the underdog, and I'm very glad I did. For a mostly plastic device, it feels solid and well made, the sliders all have a uniform resistance to sliding that feels like quality. With 30 watts x 5 channels, it's easy to configure and control all your fans, even with extreme watercooling setups. With several different brands and styles of fans, it never introduced any whine or rattling noises, and control is linear and smooth. In fact, using the Mesh to control 2 Corsair SP 120 Perf. Series fans in "pull" for my H100, the annoying growl is gone (they were connected to the H100 pump, maybe a firmware issue?). My system is so much quieter now, and temps are hardly affected at all. My 2 side fans, Corsair AF 140 Quiet Editions, are now silent and sucking a lot less dust into my case. The controller doesn't even get warm with the fans I'm using (6 on the controller). For the price of a case of imported beer, this will make your whole computing experience a lot quieter (and still have maximum cooling in 2 seconds when you want it). The only annoyance is the bright white power on LED, but 5 minutes and a scrap of black electrician's tape solved that little problem. The mesh is a lot finer than the hex mesh on my Carbide 400R, but it still manages to blend in and look like it belongs there. Great product!

Adding pictures and structuring/paragraphing your review properly would have made it more exciting and easier to read instead of a wall-of-text which many do not care for.

I find this annoying to read but this review barely squeezes in under my 'TL;DR' limit so I attempted to read and made sense of it.

You're absolutely right on all counts, my next effort will integrate those elements like a proper review, albeit much shorter (long reviews cause me to skip straight to the "final thoughts" page). Thanks for pointing it out, we all can use constructive criticism.

I have one also. Its good. I like it best because it is flat and fits behind my 550d's door.
