Super Talent Launches PCIe & Mini PCIe FDMs
Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of NAND Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, showcases its PCIe and mini PCIe Flash Disk Modules.
Bypassing the SATA speed bottleneck, Super Talent's PCIe and mini PCIe FDMs offer huge performance gains with the ability to deliver read speeds up to 350 MB/sec and write speeds up to 220 MB/sec. The ultra-compact form factor is just right for solutions where space is limited, such as embedded applications, industrial PCs, all-in-one PCs, notebooks and netbooks. http://www.techpowerup.com/img/13-02-07/44a_thm.jpg The CoreStore MV and CoreStore MP feature 8-channel Marvell controllers and up to 64MB of DDR2 DRAM cache to boost their performance even more. Full specifications and data sheets for the full line of PCIe and mini PCIe FDMs from Super Talent Technology can be found here. http://www.techpowerup.com/img/13-02-07/44b_thm.jpg |
NVMe has begun... I am one happy person.

The video on Super Talent's site mentioned they we're shipping these in March 2011?

CoreStore MP is a bad design. A small change in the PCB design could have let them build a half-height card. Shame.

I find that disingenuous marketing. Those speeds are not that exciting, apply ONLY to the SLC edition, requires PCIe 2.0, and are not better than any modern SATA interface you would find on a PC with PCIe 2.0! |
It's the latency which makes it nice.
