Im planning on having a geek party (lan party...whatever) and i want us all to be able to bring our comuters over and play fps, rpgs, or rts against or with each other. The problem is we have no games in common. Do you guys know any good games that you can play over lan for free? And btw, how do you hook up a lan connection...do i need a server? Thanks again guys!

FEAR Combat is easily the best full free game. Its just the multiplayer component of FEAR in one streamlined package. Download it and register some cd keys for your friends to use.

Yeah, I was just fixing to reccomend Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. You could always get the Halo demo for kicks.
