motherboard and memory compatibility?
I'm trying to put together a AM2 system and am having trouble finding out if the MB I want will work with the memory I picked. Can someone help me?Here are the ones I was looking at.
MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128011 Memory #1 has Micron D9 ic chips http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231065 Memory #2 has ProMos chips I think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231114 |
Any of those two should be fine mate. If it's within your budget that is, both are quality GSkill ram.

From what I've read the Micro D9 ic chips are the best but these are not the top grade 3-3-3 they are 4-4-4 with a higher voltage. The only thing I found on the ProMos chips was that Corsair had replaced some of there Micron D9 chips for ProMos on some of there memory and some people were upset.Sounds like I should go with the Micron one?
