Found new hardware always on startup?
After playing around with many a different fsb's, mem ratios and wot not, my comp now recognizes new hardware upon startup, everytime no matter what spec i run it at stock or oc'd. This has never happened before, oh yeah i should mention i haven't recently plugged anything in for it to recognize.
http://img.techpowerup.org/070514/Ca...514-193455.jpg This is the screen i'm greeted with, now i do have security center disabled and have done for ages so is it related and if so why is it popping up now? If i go to install the drivers it just doesn't find any, i'm not to bothered about this its just slightly irritating at every boot. Anyone come across this before? |
Yes, you probably turned something on in your BIOS and didn't realize it (onboard audio for example).
|
what does add remove applications say about security Center? Can you remove the application?
I believe its Microsofts app. |
Checked bios and there's nothing switched on that shouldn't be.
Also nothing in add/remove programs that relates to this:confused: |
Go to device manager and turn what ever it is off.

Raid controller 1394 (Firewire) USB Audio And along the lines of the sexy Demulta's suggestion (ok, maybe he's not so sexy, just his avitar :)), go to "my computer" in windows explorer, right click properties - Hardware tab, device manager. Look through the tree for anything that has a big yellow "?" - question mark. The fact that the hardware is listed as "Security Center" has me puzzled though... I didn't notice that before. |
I've tried switching everything off in the bios but it still persists.
When in device manager there's no "?" marks at all, can't even find security center in there. This is very puzzling:confused: |
I believe if you click the 'next' button with the "find software automaticaly" option checked it will display the type of hardware it has found so you can look for it, and figure out what it is. It should say somemthing like searching for software, then, nothing found for "HHD" etc.

If i choose advanced installation then "dont search, i will find drivers", this is the list of compatible drivers

Do you have Norton Antivirus?
|
Nooooo way, AVG free edition
|
I only asked because my dad had a similar issue, and it was related to Norton, iirc.
