Resident Evil 4

whats you peoples take on it... ign reviews seem to be giving it a somewhat low score compared to what it could should be at.

Played it on Gamecube, it kicked utter ass, but I don't think that the controls would translate to PC well AT ALL.

its a fun game on PC if you have a 360 controller but i cant find a good mouse mod for it. its a great game tho

humm what about using the logitec rumblepad? I have one of those sitting around.

Great game, crap port to PC. It bothered me enough to finish it .

If you have a PS2 or cube, get it. The PC version doesn't do the game justice compared to the two other versions of it. Trust me, do yourself a favor in not getting the PC port.

so it runs like crap on pc? do you think I could max the settings with my rig? I can max oblivion not all the sliders though and it plays well :O

Resident Evil/Tomb Raider did not transfer to the pc good in earlier editions, it is a shame.

Yeah, this is a disastrous port... check out this review, just about sums it all up:

i played the pc version, which was ok only if you used a program called mouseaim which allowed you to aim using the mouse. Overall a fun game

DanTheBanjoman May 28, 2007 03:12 PM

It runs fine on the PC, they just didn't port everything. In some scenes/during some bosses you have to press a combination of keys which appear on the screen, you get to see nice keys from a GC, same with the built in help file, all for the GC. Besides that there is no mouse aim by default, I didn't know there was this mouseaim utility.

Anyway, once you get used to the controls it actually does play fine and is rather addictive.

It sucks that I waited and waited for this game to become killer on PC.......

richjord255 May 28, 2007 03:22 PM

did any one play a game called obscure, if so is it as bad as that

Kursah May 28, 2007 03:23 PM

I have the PS2 version, great game. I'm dissapointed from what I've been reading about the PC port...I figured they'd had enough time to actually do something decent and maybe impressive with the game, tune playability, etc..ahh well, I'll just load up my PS2 version if I wanna play it.
