nah, just kidding... I am building some computers for my nieces and nephews.

They have gotten to the age where they need them for school for research and whatnot

pbmaster Aug 10, 2007 07:22 PM

Wait what? Do you need a CPU so you can have a working PC or something?

d44ve Aug 10, 2007 07:24 PM

Read Up.... I edited it as you were typing that post, sorry

Anyhow, no...... just trying to do a good deed for some very bright kids that dont have the ability to have a computer right now

pbmaster Aug 10, 2007 07:26 PM

Ah, I see. It's always good be able to help someone doing what you enjoy. Come to think of it, I've built one PC completely free of charge for someone, although they just wanted it to play Snood LOL

If it is just for college work these will be good enough

or

They don't generate more heat like the P4s or PDs do.

Just my thought.

Also sent a PM.

d44ve Aug 10, 2007 07:58 PM

I've got a Pentium D 820 ( Overclocked a bit ). PM me.

newtekie1 Aug 16, 2007 04:22 PM

If you are still interested I have an E2160 on the way to replace my Pentium D 805, so when I get it I can probably let the 805 go for pretty cheap.
