AMD to Webcast Barcelona Quad-Core Premiere Event
 

AMD today announced that it will hold its Premiere Event for the launch of the Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor at approximately 6:30 pm Pacific Time (9:30 pm ET) on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007. The event will be webcast live and can be accessed here. A replay of the webcast can be accessed at this site approximately one hour after the conclusion of the live event and will be available for 10 days after the event. The webcast will also be available at AMD.com.

Reminds me when Microsoft presented Windows XP and the whole system BSOD....

curious...this show may be an announcement of either victory or surrender. Im guessing that they are going to show how fast barcelona is.

Well, it won't hurt to tune in, most have been asking AMD to present more than a paper trail....this is a decent beginning.

I cant believe that the Barcelona will be such a hit...First benchmarks by AMD indicate that it wins in only 50% of the tests the Core 2 Duo and the second wins in the rest 50% of the tests.
Not to mention that half of AMDs lead staff has resigned...
Time will tell however :)
