Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage goes live.

WGA is essentially a verification system to check if your copy of Windows is legitimate. Although Microsoft has a press release stating the system has entered the 1.0 stage, the web pages supposedly affected by WGA have not been updated yet - a day after the press release.

The WGA page and its FAQ are out dated too as it still says users will have to enter their 25-character product key for verification. WGA 1.0 does not require the user to manually enter their product key for verification.

Additionally, the Windows Update site and the newer Microsoft Update do not mention or allude to WGA at all yet.

The Download Center also doesn't require verification to use yet. When it is updated, users will be required to verify their copy of Windows to get a download, as opposed to having the option not to verify as it has been for the last 10 months.

- Seems like all those pages are updated...finally :D -
