EDIT: ...have linked in previous post!

It works fine for that cpu. I only use them on my current cpus between October & the beginnning of April cause they just can't handle the spring or summer heat here. That's when I put my tri-rad setup in & its almost that time now. :toast:

I've been doing for the last few years now. I used the aquabay b4 the BW. I was thinking about leaving them in but I don't trust TT that much. :p

tkpenalty Mar 24, 2008 03:58 AM

I'd replace that fan asap with a 1.9k rpm Scythe Slipstream.

For the money the Bigwater costs, you'd be much better off piecing together your own kit.

Hey sorry just one more quick question but on the hermalTake Big Water 760i Liquid Cooling System Kit is there a way i can hook it up to cool more then my CPU?

tkpenalty Mar 24, 2008 04:21 AM

Just get a swiftech H20 220 compact, costs around the same yet the performance MUCH better.

sneekypeet Mar 24, 2008 04:22 AM

I would say if you are really handy with tools and hav a good thinking head on your shoulders, then yes I would say so with no issues. just tube and another block.

The real issue then is if the temps are controlable on that small of a system?

Wile E Mar 24, 2008 04:25 AM

I wouldn't recommend running more than a cpu off of the 760i. Seriously, you should just piece together your own system.

I you insist on prebuilt, absolutely get the Swiftech kit. Thermaltake makes crappy h2o cooling products.

BlahHx2 Mar 24, 2008 04:36 AM

ok so i have decided to buy the
Swiftech H20-220 Compact 3/8IN Dual 120MM CPU Liquid Cooling Kit
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=25910
I just hope its easy to install and works with my CPU thanks for your help guys.

Wile E Mar 24, 2008 04:39 AM

Yeah, it's easy, and it fits the E4500, so you're good to go. That's deffo a better purchase than the 760i. You'll be very happy with the results.

Thank you very much for all your help.

Edit* is there a way to hook this up to more then just the CPU?

Yes. I think there is enough hosing for you to be able to cut it up and add more water blocks. It can take two 8800GTXs apparently...

(tkpenalty wants this kit :()

Megasty Mar 24, 2008 06:34 AM

Slapping together your own kit is simple enough if your just cooling a cpu. It doesn't get to much harder to loop it but never on a TT BW. I didn't have to buy mine, I would never waste money on this junk. The pumps will give soon anyway. I also don't like tiny rad it has. TT makes great case fans but that's about it. Just follow the forum & you should be fine.

What wile E said, Ive have always heard that you should stay away from Thermaltake as well, Leak issues, pumps failing prematurely, things of this nature...Look at petra's tech shop and danger den and try to piece together your own setup, I'm sure you would be happier in the long run.
