On our way to represent our school's tech team, as I am the king of nerddom, along with my friends, my friend had a nifty program on his laptop that I cannot remember the name of at all.
Basically what it would do is find various wireless networks as we passed by them, some Windows couldn't even find, and offered connection to the ones that weren't password protected. Anyone know the name of this program or one like it? I'll be traveling a lot this summer and also attending Uni in the next city over, so I think this would be handy to have on my laptop.

Also, Openoffice or Office 2k7 for a Vista equipped laptop?
