how are these memory benchmarks ?
ok got my geil black dragons (4gb ddrII800 c5 set) this week and am dissapointed with them, they wont overclock at all (well managed 833mhz :() tried to run them at 1000 from everything ranging from 6.6.6.18 2.0v-2.4v and everytime i cant get it to boot.
anyways managed to loosen the timings a bit (so far 5.4.4.15 2.1v, might try for 4.4.4.15 later but sure ive tried that before and it wouldnt post), what are these benches like from everest, any good or? memory read 7576MB/s memory write 6057MB/s memory copy 6510MB/s Latency 59.0ns im pretty sure the C5's are the same as the C4 but didnt make the cut at C4 hence the losser timings, but hardly any OC at all :( |
wow that sucks even my cheap 2x2GB 667 kit is doing 900+ 5-5-5-15
you on 2T? |

keep them at 5-5-5-15 cas 4 needs more volts over cas5 for the same clocks ;)

so the timings are they crap then or what ? :ohwell:
im going to just flog these to a friend and get some reapers :( an overclockers work is never done :D |
Well don't put 2.4v through them obviously you'll kill them. Looked at your board. You do have an aging board, great board though, I owned a p5b and loved it. 2 things. First, and I can't remember, is there an option in bios to raise sub-timing trfc? If so, raise that. Secondly, bump nb voltage. 1 of those 2 things should help you achieve your objective. Its not the ram, its the board dude.:p

trfc is at the max i think, and ill try raising the north bridge see if that helps any but like i said ill probably just sell them on and get some reapers :rockout: |

Just as a comparison, FYI, I have DDR 400. Read 6000 MB/s Write 5400 Copy 4000 Latency 64.1 |
