Need to lower HT-Link, but how?

Im rather new to overclocking, but i've been told that im probably having "Windows - Delayed Write Failed" Errors because my HT is too high (when i have my settings at 250, it goes over 1000MHz).

But I dont know how to lower it, the only thing i see is under chipset and the options are "HT Width & HT Length, which have 3 options, Auto/8bit/16bit

Heres my system info

128 kilobyte primary memory cache
128 kilobyte secondary memory cache

M/B: Board: K8Upgrade-VM800 1.00
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. P1.70 09/09/2005
