USB mouse pulls up and left, any fix?

Got the ethernet working again, the mic, and the operating system.. which is nice..

Thought I'd post this topic just in case anyone has solved this issue before..

Believe me, I have spent the last entire week reformatting and looking for things..
I looked for this problem but it's just to vague.

Just hoping maybe someone else out there had their usb mouse just start pulling off to the left and up..
or off to any direction really..

It's not huge..
but if i move the mouse very slowly to the bottom right..
it cancels out my movements..

I've tried everything I can think of..
which entails:

changing usb ports.
uninstalling the driver manually and letting it reinstall.
reformatting quick and normally.
enabling usb mouse in bios.
reinstalling the OS.
Repairing the OS.

idk what else to try..lol..
brain = goo..
but I keep pressin buttons..
somethings bound to happen..
good or bad.
who knows..

but dammit I want my mouse back..lol..

Have you tried a different mouse?

D007 Mar 8, 2009 12:18 AM

see thats why people need forums..lol..
I think I tried everything but..

Just assumed it was part of the other huge problems i was having..lol..
like driver related or some kind of corruption.

let me go steal my brothers mouse real quick..

EDIT: You win this round.. Neewtekieee..

lol..
My mouse took a crap..
or is in the midsts of.
Thanks for giving me another simple idea that I wish I had tried 3 days ago..lol..

Well I bought another mouse..
hooked it up..
and it does the same thing..
go figure..
My brothers wireless works on mine..
but I guess logitech makes crappy mice..

It never use to do this though..
has to be some way to stop this..
so annoying..
always pulling up and left, every time I do anything..
ug..

Do you have a controller plugged in to the USB?

I had it do it to me in games but never at desktop, but its worth a try!

Goto control panel open MOUSE. Click on pointer options tab. Make sure "snap to" is unchecked.
And, if that does not do it; make sure "enhance pointer precision" is unchecked.

Is it wireless or wired. Have you gotten a new mouse pad, by chance. If it is wireless have you put any other wireless devices near it or replaced the battery. Is it clean?

Logitech latest drivers are 4.72, I believe. Logitech makes very good mice, software may suck a little.:)

no, not when it happened.
and still not now.. but I will :).
I think thats when it happened initially.
but it stayed with the system even through a reformat.

have you tried your mouse on a different surface like i said in your other thred, couple white paper sheets works well.

i had the exact problem and it was due to the surface i was using the mouse on.
