Cooler Master Presents Core i5 Compatible Hyper TX3 CPU Cooler
Cooler Master last week presented its new Hyper TX3 cooler to the world. Measuring 90 x 51 x 139 mm, the Hyper TX3 will fit the yet to be released Intel Socket LGA 1156. The cooler uses three heatpipes and aluminum heatsink that supports up to 92 mm fans, although the standard cooler fits only one 92 mm fan which spins between 800 and 2800 rpm and has a minimum sound output of 17 dBA. Except LGA 1156, Hyper TX3 is also compatible with Intel's LGA 775, and AMD sockets 754/939/940/AM2/AM3. Expect the cooler to go on sale next month for $19.99.

looks like a xigmatek wannabe.

Looks nice.

I have been constantly impressed by the price-to-performance ratio of CoolerMaster CPU coolers these past few years. Kudos to them on a cheap, efficient, and versatile design...
|
If it's a Xiggy clone and it aint a straight dollar to pound conversion this will be a bloody good deal.

Oh right, maybe not then...
I'm not a cooling nut, just considering buying a cooler in a month or so after I've done exams (so I'd have time for overclocking and playing games). |
Looks pretty nice.

Yes, its finally back to push-pins :)
|
Looks nice, do they have this in AM2/aM3 flavor?
|
its really tiny though, makes me wonder if it is even up to the task to cool a LGA775 let alone a i5 proc.

I hope they are less that say the 65nm procs in the 775 lineup. If not even at $20, if it dont cope it really doesnt matter. I've been seeing this alot lately though, all these low dollar coolers that are basically just to get rid of the look of an Intel stock cooler, just with a bit of flair, and minimal temp gains.

i5?
:O when is this coming out? what's it gonna be like? can someone give me a link with more info? |

like AMD's soon to be released quads :toast:, i'd love to see a performance review of the best of the new duals and quads that they're releasing.

We shall see, I'm not trying to flame the cooler, just a bit surprized I guess. |
I suppose many of us here will W/C their chips rather than using air:laugh:
|
I had the Hyper TX2 and that thing was great. It would allow me to clock my old E2180 to 3.35ghz at 1.5v and temps weren't much of an issue.
|
well which one do you think is better?
V8 or TX2? |
Of course the v8 is better. but price/performance wise the tx2 beats the v8. I also added a 3500rpm fan to the TX2 which helped a lot.
