I wonder why they did away with the crossfire option on the Elite. I guess it saves a bit of loot, but that was a huge plus in my mind on the original P45 Blood Iron over the P35 variant.

True, that was the big reason to go with the P45 version. I mean, it's still what? $110ish at newegg for crossfire set up.... I guess it can oc better then it's P35 version...

that red pc board makes it look cheap IMO

thats the point, top end DFI boards usually look fancy and they want to differenciate from that.

it looks like it all you need for a basic enthousiast ( yes those 2 words can fit into one sentence ) gaming rig.

i wonder what else besides second PCI E slot is missing from the more expensive P45 boards.

Lets hope this board isnt a clusterfuck and doesnt throw up Error 88 as soon as the fans spin up like my (and a lot of others) P45 DK. :rolleyes:

@hayder.master I dont think any DDR2 ram can clock to 1800Mhz... Your probably thinking of DDR3

Seems like an alright board but i agree that crossfire would have made a nice addition.

Yeah, it just doesnt sell High end for me without another PCI-E 16x.
No heat pipes or anything either, the price better be good considering.

To be really honest, with the P35 Blood Iron, the only addition "needed" to be done is something to the NB cooler. Replacement voids the warranty as a sticker usually is placed on the side of it. I suggest a fan. but the board is rock solid otherwise.

With a P45 being a superior chipset to the P35, I dont really see how this can go wrong for DFI.

a new Blood Iron board.

I went with a Blood iron board at the advice of Sneekypeet, and i hven't been happier since. No more issues like i had with the nvida boards.
