G.SKILL Launches Perfect Storm DDR3 2133 CL9 6GB and Turbulence Fan

G.Skill International Co. Ltd., a world leader in extreme performance storage and memory products with solid quality, today launches the world’s fastest memory, Perfect Storm DDR3 2133 CL9 6GB. In addition G.Skill has announced the retail availability of its perfect cooling partner, the Turbulence Fan. Both of these products have been shown in a very successful Computex 2009.

Firstly, the Perfect Storm series has represents the ultimate memory solution since G.Skill launched 2000 CL7 6GB Triple channel kit just three months ago. To continuously satisfy overclocking enthusiasts and extreme gamers’ demand for ultra performance computer memory, G.Skill once again pushes the boundaries further at the highest frequency of 2,133MHz. The Perfect Storm 2133 CL9 provide overclockers and enthusiasts the best overclocking potential for their Core i7 platforms with affordable price and lifetime warranty.

Since Cebit 2009, G.Skill’s elegantly designed Turbulence Fan was demonstrated to the public, G.Skill has received a great number of inquiries about this product’s availability, price and performance. G.Skill can finally announce today that the Turbulence Fan is ready for retail availability immediately. The special design allows the fan to decrease the temperature of memory kits effectively, while maintaining a silent solution that will not audibly interfere with the environment. Gamers and overclockers will push their ram to the highest voltages, making the addition of the Turbulence Fan an ideal partner to high performance memory. Available in black and grey, the subtle color choice can tailor a system look to suit the users’ needs.

Looks like a very nice setup, always loved G.Skill and bought them since they were not very well known and always been a happy customer, maybe these will be in my future.

three fins? thats either going to move a small amount of air, or be noisy. Less fins = less pressure.

amroviper Jun 15, 2009 05:25 PM

Actually 6 fins !! Three black and three transparent. :toast:

Mussels Jun 15, 2009 05:46 PM

you sure? i thought that was the brace the fan mount is attached to...

Oooooh.... its 6 transparent fins. that black thing is actually just a fancy cover, for looks alone. that part doesnt spin.

Salsoolo Jun 15, 2009 06:01 PM

looked like a watch.
however i prefer dual fans

TheLaughingMan Jun 15, 2009 06:09 PM

Look at the pic

Actually there are far more than 6 fins on the fans for both of these setups. If you look at the images, you can clearly see something like 10 to 14 fins on the fans.

The three blade thing is just for looks....which means it is kinda in the way since the fan is below it.

hmm... I say one fan is enough, not like your RAM is gonna go up to 40 degrees celsius

satelitko Jun 15, 2009 07:08 PM

There are like... 12-14 fins... You're just seeing the "cover"?

FreedomEclipse Jun 15, 2009 09:47 PM

this looks like something BATMAN would be proud to have stashed away somewhere on his utility belt!!!

Geofrancis Jun 16, 2009 05:05 PM

i remember back in the day when cpu's and graphics cards didnt even have heatsinks now even the ram has a fan lol

CyberDruid Jun 16, 2009 05:13 PM

Glad they stepped up from those annoying tiny fans. I cannot stand the sound they make.

second that

According to the benchmarks a really low latency 1600 set (think mushkin 6-6-5-18) performers better 2/3 times, including gaming. Actually looking here the only thing the fast ram did better in was superpi, which doesn't count for anything. Then factor in the that it would cost half the money... It would take a grade A fool to buy this ram. Blindly assuming faster clockrate/more expensive = best performance. I can't stand people that live their life so half-assed.
