You need to use VMPlayer v3.0.0 NOT v3.0.1......
You need to use VMPlayer v3.0.0 NOT v3.0.1... found it out the hard way when I was setting up my VM. Even resorted to VMWare Workstation which also at most supports up to 4 cores... Sadly there isnt...
