Yea , you dont have to go into windows. Aslong as you can see the boot up sequence at the start, you should be able to perform the floppy bootup , and re-flash of the AGP card.

Stock 500/500 with 16 pipes is still good. I actually put it up to 505/515 on stock fan. I think you will notice a bigger difference in games like FEAR then 3dmark. I played it at 505/515 16 pipes...

Its possible I think , but I think just do it the way everyone else has done it using a X850XT PE Bios and just underclock back to pro speeds if your still using a Stock Fan.

Also what are peoples opinion on using no fan on a gpu IF you are just in ms dos and w/o fan...

Yea its a 03 score. A x850pro should beat a vanilla 6800. Is yours GT?

I did the mod to normal X850XT. I lost the fan. It didnt work. But when I went in ATI Tool, and set the Fan at 100% it worked. So basically I just need to start up everytime...
