i would have thought that deactivating 4 of the 16 pipes would make no difference to power consumption unless you are gaming

asus released a new bios which stops the blue...

asus released a new bios which stops the blue screen problems - i had this problem too and it was fixed with the new bios. but yeh, fan control would be a nice feature :)
