if you split the 3TB into a 1TB and 2TB partition...

if you split the 3TB into a 1TB and 2TB partition (or anything <2TB) it should work in the older systems for a data drive.

Generic Dual aerial thing:

Adams: 68% -> 92%
9446E6: 76% -> 88%

set up a repeater, or use directional antennas from those parts of the house. no matter what you do in that situation you'll have deadspots from omnidirectional aerials on the router.
