Is vsync or any cap enabled? Afterburner (if you are running that) might cap it against your will. Check for caps in the game options as well, I know that some games have that.

I think that indeed the CPU has been had extra work when folding on the GPU. I had a the CEP WU that lasted quite a bit longer, yesterday. I did not see much of a difference in the other units...
