FX 8150 is $282

and the FX is only faster by about %10 some of the time. The extra $100 doesn't buy you much.

I just don't see the point. It's not much of an upgrade if it doesn't offer much of a performance increase. Considering how cheap the Phenom II range is you'd be better off with a PII X4 980 or an X6...

Those are DX10 benchmarks. I don't know what map that was. I just ran the benchmark_GPU tool with the default config after setting the graphical settings to Enthusiast.

You can tell it relieved some of the bottleneck but I think I'm still CPU bound A 0xAA, 2xAA and 4xAA. 8xAA took almost a 10 FPS hit.
