The only thing I've seen that it won't play is (maybe only certain?) .WMV files. The Netflix works really good too, although the menu (and selecting a Netflix movie) isn't as nice as on the XBox 360....

The WD Live (Plus for Netflix) is awesome and what I recommend. Way better than the 360 for watching streamed media. With the WDLXTV custom firmware it's even better. You can get them for under $50...
