What else would you want to do? I don't mind Thunderbolt I mean you can control everything with one cable and with that one cable carry an entire PCI Express Bus with all kinds of ports and features...

Thunderbolt is not really meant for one off...
Thunderbolt is not really meant for one off devices such as USB.
It does two major things...
1) It acts as an extension of the PCI Express bus, so you can extend it outside of the computer. ...
