What about ada-ware? Does anybody still use it?
I was going to tell you to go with 4g myself. I noticed a diff going from 4 to 8g.;)
How do you know most games don't need more than 4GB of ram. You only have 4GB. Games know how much total system ram you have and adjust accordingly....
The more you have, the more your system will use. If its not using all 4g that you have, its because you only have 4g. Its cheap, and it helps.;)
Sure, if the ram will take 2.1.
Your exactly right. Everytime I've upped the amount of ram, vista uses more. Same with games. When I was playing crysis, at times it was using 5g....
I thought you were going to raid 4 of them. Are you using on board raid or do you have a raid controller?
That was fast. Are you at work like me?:p
Any benches yet?
I would back the speed down to where cas 5 is stable and run it there. Maybe try DDR2 1000 5-5-5-15 and see what that gets you.
7-7-7-20? Why so loose? I have never seen DDR2 timings that loose.
Ok, here's my shit. I can game all day at these settings. Finally hit 1000 posts.:toast:
EVGA has lifetime warranty. Did you registar it when you bought it?
Damn, thats an excellent overclock for a 9600. :)
That seems a little high for a g0. Try lowering it a little and then stress it.
That seams awfully warm. I idle in the high 30's load high 50's.
Is that your max overclock? Have you tried powering the pci bus?
See if they will rma it. The most I could get was 720. Then I smoked one of them. Got another one and could easily hit 750 no problem. That smoked...
Yeah, thats a nice overclock. I see your card stock is 700. Mines at 650 stock. I think sli is holding me back a little.
Why, in case you lose your array?
I see. What about raising the pci frequecy? That would effectively raise the overclock on the card right?
I was kind of thinking the same thing. Yeah, your running your card faster but on a slower pci frequency, could cancel out speed of card.
Do you have a side case fan blowing directly on them?
I have 2 of them in sli. I can game and bench at750/1875/1050 just fine. Never heard about lowering pci frequency though.
Lower the ram speed as mentioned above. Then set your fsb 300. That will put your quad at 2.7 ghz. You shouldn't have to up vcore at all for this....
