I got 300 of event 219 "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2." in my log by my computer works just fine...
You pass the freeze test as long as it doesn't freeze. The animation is not meant to be smooth.
Some motherboards like to run the 4790k at 4.4GHz out of the box. That's something the stock cooler can not possibly handle.
Some motherboard also...
You can use backplates on LGA 775. Not having a cutout is not an issue.
But you're severely limiting yourself in memory choice by adhering to the compatibility list
Could be wrong bios setting, try these:
CPU C-states: enabled
enhanced C1 state: enabled
CPU C3 report: enabled
CPU C6 report: enabled
A 4790k should be able to run without crashing using the stock cooler. There could be something else wrong.
Using a hairdryer is the safer way to dry a heatsink fast IMO.
Coolermaster site says your cooler can be at most 163mm high. (not 192mm, that's the width of the entire case)
It probably won't fit.
thanks for correcting me!
please tell me what the real 4790k stock voltages are.
That voltage is way too high.
proper stock voltage for 4790K should be at about:
1.00-1.10V at 4GHz
1.10-1.15V at 4.2GHz
1.20V at 4.4GHz
What cooler are you using?
Post the CPU voltage you get under load.
Also post frequency under load, some motherboards like to overclock a bit by...
Gamergate isn't actually about women or harassment. It's about stopping SJW influenced game journalists from breaking gaming.
All SSDs will be limited to about 260MB/s continuous read/write on SATA2.
SSDs still make your computer real snappy even on SATA2.
Make sure your...
Buy an SSD. Just don't expect more FPS.
Just keep in mind that SSDs make you computer much more responsive and improve load times but rarely if ever increase FPS.
I read it all but I'm not sure I understand completely. Do you still have the second (quiet) bios as it came from the factory or did you flash over...
I think the board was broken to begin with. Forgetting to connect the CPU 8 pin shouldn't start a fire, it should just not turn on.
how to find out what causes low fps:
1) run gpu-z in background
2) run game and when you encounter low fps hit alt+tab and check gpu-z
3) look at...
Sure looks like the 840 problem.
Try getting another look at the problem by running filebench.
You can get it from the original 840 thread here:...
Run unigine valley to check if your GPU is overheating.
Scan your disk for bad sectors to make sure your hard drive is ok.
But the CPU temp reported in the bios is probably from a sensor located on the motherboard near the CPU socket or in it. If this sensor is faulty,...
Try using OCCT instead of Prime 95 as your loadtest, it should give better results on haswell.
And you're probably not gonna get 30ish idle temps if...
That temp looks normal to me since that haswell is probably boosting to 4.4GHz and is running at 1.2V with just ok tier air cooling.
Looks fine, but your PSU only has one PCIe 6pin. Cards that need more than that (like the GTX 480) will not work with it.
