It won't be replaced this year. Skylake is like a different thing right now. The motherboard already got updated for Broadwell also. :) It exists.
So, pretty soon.
So .... Will we have Broadwell-K - 5770K for example or no?
Yes, I know the same.
980 Ti will be 100% 6GB of memory to deal with 384bit bus.
IPS ... but it's some cheap IPS panel - meh.
Wow - 18 ports, but ... really ... no SATA express? Overall PCB design/topology/parts looks meh next to ASUS. Also, I think that the fan is not...
It will be great budget card for sure. Enough for average casual gamer. For the others there are already cards to go. :)
If you use the LN2 switch (and solder 1 point on the PCB) - it's absolutely unlocked and ready to rock. :D
p.p. I still haven't done it.
Yes, PCB is 1:1 the same as 780Ti. The molex is for the additional "memory defrosting" circuit integrated in the PCB itself.
I love this series. May...
Pretty interesting. Looks like that they like Kepler a lot. :)
Die size just 551mm² compared to 561mm² (GK110)?
Yeah, because GM204 is bigger than GK104 and I expected same here. :)
It's interesting why they released it now? You can see that it's written on the PCB - 1350... which means - 50th week of 2013 ... so super old card...
No many times, but I just sayin' what are the facts. Anyways we are going to offtopic. :) I'm not from people who say to black - white.
No, check yours. :) Mine is calibrated 10bit P-IPS with 12bit LUT. (Passes UGRA test!) ;) Also I'm web developer and I work with Photoshop and colors...
Everyone is trying to copy ASUS ... but no one can't make such a sick card as Matrix. :)
p.p. Blah that brown PCB ...
Great review! Thank you.
Just some extra pics of my baby for "Ti" human race. :D
May be the best Ti4200 so far. V8420S - Superfast edition 3.3ns memory!
It's not needed nVidia to say again what Ti is ... we had lot of series in the past like 4200 for example. ;) Veterans in the branch knows exactly...
@cadaveca - when we can see review of some of the new LGA 2011-3 boards? Like R5E or X99 Deluxe?
So now with THESE specs? Where is positioned?
I think that 980 is comparing even with 780Ti or?
Of course they have. :)
Let's see which memory vendor they will use. I hope it's not Elpida.
Yes, but Skylake-E will be again with DDR4, so things will be times better you know. :)
